This is the English version of my dutch weblog http://weerterbos.blogspot.com. In 2005 Limburgs Landschap, a nature preserve foundation, started a project to re-introduce red deer into one of it's nature reserve within a fenced off 150 acre area. This forrest is called het Weerterbos, located in Nederweert in the south of Holland. The planned release of the red deer into the 'wild' is put on hold for now. Also in 2005 I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D70s. Seeking for interesting subjects to photograph I walked into the Weerterbos and saw the red deer. Since then I visited the red deer herd often and my photographic skills made some progress. At this weblog I show the result of my walks through the Weerterbos.
