Roe deer and red deer spotted

Today I saw a couple of roe deer and some of the red deer herd. I only got a good view of 1 of the fawns, and only the ears of another baby red deer. Mum was hiding it in the high grass.

Fawn at the left hand side of the hind.

Hind number 2. She is wearing a GPS/cellphone for tracking research. Her fawn was hiding in the tall weeds.

Posing like a pro! The light was brilliant too. But then the tail went up to....


A roe deer was snacking on fresh grass (top photo). Then she went back into hiding and came back out later when the light was almost gone (bottom photo).
